I am very excited to offer a guided trek up Kilimanjaro, 5,895m, from August 26 to September 10, 2012 in conjunction with a local guide service there! This organized, luxury trip includes the trek/climb, a safari in Tarangire National Park, and a few days of relaxation on the beaches of Chale Island. Guide Freddy Grossniklaus is a UIAGM/IFMGA Swiss certified mountain guide and ski instructor born in Beatenberg, Kanton Bern, Switzerland. Being a local, he has the huge advantage of not only speaking 4 languages, but also possesses local knowledge and expertise. This enables him to communicate with the locals and offer a truly authentic, Swiss insider experience that non-native speakers cannot offer. He is friendly, mobile and flexible: able to move anywhere in the Alps that the conditions and weather permit.
